Tiered magnolias!

Imagine this coconut-covered confection 
(toasted on tops of tiers giving that golden color!)
 at a rooftop terrace wedding at the Gramercy Park Hotel.  
This cake was inspired by our coconut cake featured in 
Martha Stewart Weddings, Spring 2012.

Here's a closer look at one of the magnolias, made by hand out of sugar.
